Why Wyoming

Never did go into the story of why we left the Mountain Road Ranch...it's a long one.  Anyway, here are some photos of what we moved into...and were there for 4 years.

When we first looked at the house, the great room was FILLED with animal trophies.

Just after we moved in.  View from the kitchen windows.

Just after we moved in...January, 2017

We built this shelter in 2017...12 x 24.  The horses rarely went in it.  Our biggest mistake was putting a cement floor.

Yep, this was only part of our wood supply, 2019.

We also put in this log fence in 2017.

We LOVED this fireplace and wood burning stove.

Another shot of the fence and the Wind Rivers in the background.

Entry way, great room, 2020

Delphiniums, 2018.  I miss those lovely flowers.

Cozy loft with gas fireplace and pull out couch for guests.

Our own "burl" right in the kitchen.

View of the great room.

Snowstorm on May 1, 2019

Yep, forever hauling hay.  Thankful for friends who helped.

Most people think seeing a moose is neat.  But, we hated to see them.  They demolished many of our plants in our yard.

Sienna checking out a moose visitor.

We had numerous white tailed deer that jumped right in with the horses and shared their hay.  This is Cruize and Rio over for play and rest time.

Yep, "city deer" just making themselves at home, also demolishing the garden.

View to the southwest

Hummingbirds loved the delphiniums

Loved these oriental poppies.

These are all flowers from the yard in 2018.

One of the more unusual delphiniums

We sometimes got a beautiful sunset, but we got so many gorgeous sunrises over the years.

This one is Sienna watching the moonrise.
